This video shows a simple direct current (DC) circuit powered by a battery connected to a light bulb. Direct current is the movement of electrons in the same direction, because electrons have a negative charge, they move toward the positive charged atoms. The DC current flows from negative (-) to positive (+). In a DC circuit, current flows continuously in one direction from the positive terminal to the negative terminal of the battery. As the current flows through the light bulb, electrical energy is converted into light. The steady flow of current is the main characteristic of direct current.
